Scope of service and responsibilities
- In the case where the employer / business has authorized a person or juristic person to act on their behalf, submit a power of attorney with a 10-baht stamp and a copy of the employer’s and the authorized person’s ID card.
- When the employer / business has hired a foreigner, they must treat the foreigner in accordance with the conditions of the relevant Thai laws, such as providing social security for foreign workers, paying wages and benefits in accordance with the Thai Labor Protection Act.
When terminating foreign workers, the following must be done:
- Take the alien to report the dismissal or termination of employment at the Department of Employment or within 15 days after the alien moves out of work or flees from the workplace (in this case, the police should also be notified). For provinces, contact the provincial employment office. For Bangkok, contact the Foreign Workers Import System Division. The alien must return the permit to the officer.
- The employer takes the alien out of the country by notifying every Immigration Bureau at the Thai border checkpoint.
